Police are continuing to investigate the death of a 33-year-old man who was shot to death last week.

No charges have been filed, but a police and city spokesperson, Dan Trujillo, said, “All involved persons have been identified and interviewed.”

Despite this, police have yet to release the man’s name or provide additional details about his death after announcing it on Oct. 3.

The 33-year-old man was shot in a home on the 800 block of Holly Street, at around 9:50 p.m. on Oct. 2, according to a news release. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“Investigators with the Criminal Investigation Section believe the deceased and the resident of the home had previously been in a relationship. The nature of their relationship, as well as the motive for the shooting, remains under investigation,” police said.

When asked if the death was being investigated as a murder, Trujillo said, “The case is being investigated as a homicide. The investigation will determine whether or not it’s justified.”
