The Munchies Festival, born in Albuquerque, is headed to Las Cruces Dec. 17.

Tell ABQ has taken the festival on the road, with a holiday flair, to southern New Mexico. The event is set 4-9 p.m. for Plaza de Las Cruces, Saturday, Dec. 17.

Organizer Tierna Unruh Enos went to school in Las Cruces and feels like this is the perfect place and time for this festival.

“It seems like it’s a really good market for something like this,” she said. “[The cannabis industry] been a hugely burgeoning market, we’ve had a lot of interest in Las Cruces.”

The Munchies Festival features food, music, artists and cannabis vendors from Las Cruces and around the state. The event is free to attend and will be on the plaza from noon-6 p.m. The festival complies with all state and local regulations, and no THC consumption will be permitted on site, Enos said.

“Las Cruces is a burgeoning market for food and cannabis,” said Jordan Al Roussan, co-owner

of Tell ABQ. “We felt like having the Munchies Festival downtown during the holiday season was

a great fit, especially with the lights all set up on the plaza and the great weather in December in

Las Cruces.”
