Gallery 925 will feature the work of mixed media artist Gabriele Teich and photographer David Stevenson April 7-30.

An opening reception will be held 1-8 p.m. Friday (First Friday), April 7, at the gallery, 925 N. Mesquite St., at the corner of Mesquite and Spruce Avenue. The artists will attend and refreshments will be served.

First Friday will include free trolley rides from all open Mesquite galleries, 5-8 p.m., the gallery said.

Stevenson will give an artist talk 1-2 p.m. Sunday, April 9. Teich will give a talk 1-2 p.m. Sunday, April 16. Both events will be at the gallery.

“Teich creates beautiful acrylic paintings; linocut prints and collages,” the gallery said.

“Originally from Germany, Teich moved to Las Cruces in 1999, Gallery 925 said. “A trained textile engineer, Teich first found her love for quilts and then moved to other disciplines over the years. Always interested in learning new techniques and working with various media, she paints acrylics, makes jewelry, does calligraphy and builds with wood. In 2019, Teich visited the Silver City Print Fiesta and got hooked on printmaking.”

“Stevenson’s photographs on metal have a certain look to them,” the news release said.

“Deep colors, accurate details and longevity are positive qualities afforded by images printed on aluminum,” the gallery said. “Because his style of photography emphasizes color and detail, Stevenson has found printing on metal not only looks great but also sets his style apart from many other art photographers.”

Gallery 925 is open 1-5 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
