The Las Cruces International Film Festival announced that renowned filmmaker Shane Black will be the recipient of the prestigious Outstanding Filmmaker Award at this year’s festival.
The award will be presented in person on April 10, in recognition of Black’s extraordinary contributions to the world of cinema with iconic works including "Lethal Weapon," "Iron Man 3," "The Nice Guys," and "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang."
The event will take place at the Allen Theaters Cineport at 6:30 p.m., featuring a special screening of Black's critically acclaimed film, "The Nice Guys."
Following the screening, Shane Black will engage with the audience in a Q&A session, providing fans and aspiring filmmakers with an unprecedented opportunity to gain insight into his creative process.
Black will talk about his work and career in depth with LCIFF executive director Ross Marks at the festival. “A Conversation With Shane Black” will take place from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. at the Allen Theatres Cineport.
