Silver City Community Theatre presents Hallie Harris’ “May day in the Ditch Sonnets” of Shakespeare, Sor Juana and Lope de Vega.
Auditions are from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at Javalina Coffee House, 117 Market St., Silver City. The event will be held April 28.
Have a favorite piece bring it with you or Hallie will have a selection to choose from.
The production will be held May Day Weekend in Silver City.
“Come May Day weekend, I hope to create a celebration of our Hispano-Anglo heritage and springtime with accessible short works by Shakespeare, Lope de Vega and Sor Juana de la Cruz combined with live music. Actors will stroll the Big Ditch and perform as the walk or when they stop,“ Harris said of the production.
