Cuarenta y Cinco to Perform at Summer Community Concert
One of New Mexico’s top groups since 1991, Cuarenta y Cinco will be featured, along with Angelica Padilla and Illusion Band, during the free Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department’s Summer Community Concert. Known for their upbeat music and traditional New Mexican sound, Cuarenta y Cinco play a blend of rancheras, cumbias, balses, boleros, country/western, and modern rock.

No Strings Theatre Company presents Seascape
Edward Albee’s surreal Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, and the very first play performed by No Strings Theatre Company, is given a revival at the Black Box Theatre. On a deserted stretch of beach, a middle-aged couple relaxes after a picnic lunch and converse idly about home, family, and their life together. Suddenly, they are joined by a pair of lizards from the depths of the ocean, with whom they engage in a fascinating dialogue.

Georgia and the Butch at LCCT
The New Mexico Actors Lab in Santa Fe premieres a brand-new play at the Las Cruces Community Theatre for one day only. The staged reading – directed by Robert Benedetti, and featuring Mary Beth Lindsey, Suzanne Lederer, and Kat Sawyer – explores the relationships between Georgia O’Keefe, Maria Chabot, and Mary Wheelwright, three powerhouse women who shaped the landscape of Santa Fe in the early 20th century.

Franciscan Festival of Fine Arts
Now in its 19th year exploring fine art of both a spiritual and secular nature, attendees peruse works by local and regional artists, along with vendor booths, a beer and wine garden, and live entertainment on two stages on the beautiful Holy Cross Retreat grounds. Also included are the annual enchilada dinner, raffles and a silent auction.
