Doña Ana County and Las Cruces Fire departments pulled three people out of the Rio Grande Saturday afternoon.

According to a social media post by Doña Ana County Public Safety, crews responded to a potential drowning call near Snow Road and south of La Llorona Park just before noon.

Three people were safely pulled from the river with ropes and buoys with no injuries.

Water was released from dams north of town on May 30 to match the irrigation cycle and help local farmers water their crops.
