Las Cruces author Martin Kufus’ nonfiction book, “Plow the Dirt but Watch the Sky: True Tales of Manure, Media, Militaries, and More,” was published in January and is now available for online purchase in paperback and as a Kindle download, Kufus said.

“The 95,100-word, memoir-ish book comprises an introduction and 26 chapters, from ‘A is for America’ to ‘Z is for Zodiac’ (flood-rescue boat),” Kufus said.

“’O is for Oklahoma” details Kufus’ a 1978 “danger-close event” involving a tornado when he was a newspaper reporter, the author said.

“Although I work at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) as a contracted technical editor, the book mentions WSMR only in the context of Trinity Site, the Bataan Memorial Death March and rattlesnakes,” Kufus said.
