Mesilla Valley Jazz and Blues Society presents Footprints Quintet

Mesilla Valley Jazz and Blues Society, a nonprofit organization devoted to promoting the appreciation of jazz and blues art forms, invites the public to the next monthly meeting, where the entertainment for the evening is the Footprints Quintet, made up of five local musicians: Ruben Galvan, Miguel Torres, Alan Kaplan, Arnold Schnitzer, and Pancho Romero.

Lumberjack Day/Heritage Day Vintage Car Show in Cloudcroft

Rustically adventurous men and women compete in such activities as axe throwing, buck crosscutting, chain sawing and more on Saturday, followed by a vintage car show on Sunday, for a full weekend of family fun.

Deming Heats Things Up at the Salsa Festival

Heritage Days Celebrates the Beauties of Cave Creek Canyon

1939 Film Series Comes to the Fountain Theatre

Travel back in time to Hollywood's golden age when the Mesilla Valley Film Society presents "1939: Hollywood’s Greatest Year," which redefined cinema and continues to inspire filmmakers today. Included in the series are Oscar nominees “Rules of the Game,” “Stagecoach,” “Juarez,” “Only Angels Have Wings,” and “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.”

Folk Duo Ordinary Elephant to Perform at Cruces Creatives

Cruces Creatives, a nonprofit makerspace committed to fostering economic development, furthering education and supporting the arts, presents a fundraising concert featuring International Folk Music Awards 2017 Artist of the Year Ordinary Elephant, with all proceeds supporting Las Cruces charities.

Silver City Public Library hosts SWFAC Fiber Art Display

The Southwest Women’s Fiber Arts Collective (SWFAC) has installed a Fiber Art display at the Silver City Public Library in the display case at the bottom of the stairs. The display will be shown through September 29, 2024 and showcases the work of sixteen members who participated in a Design Game, which challenged members to create a fiber art piece based on a random design related criteria.
