Call for Abstract Artists to Exhibit at the Otero Artspace
Alamogordo, NM – Otero Arts is issuing a call for artists to participate in an Abstract Exhibition for the month of September 2025. To apply go to oteroart.org website for the Abstract Exhibition application. The deadline for applying is Wednesday, August 20th. Exhibition will open on Friday September 5th with a reception from 5-7pm at Otero Artspace, 1118 Indiana Avenue. The Abstract Exhibition will be closed on September 27th.
Silver City –
The Spirit of Home (Silver City) A juried alternative process photography exhibition will on display in the North Gallery July 24th – September 20, 2025. Juror, Annie Lopez, chose a variety of work representing many different processes by artists from across the country. At Light Art Space located at 209 West Broadway, Downtown Silver City.

Shades of Clay Exhibition Kate Brown and Barry Gillen showcase their pottery at Made in Silver City Gallery. The soft opening will be Friday, July 4th 5 p.m.- 6 p.m. with the opening reception happening Friday, July 18th from 5 p.m.- 7 p.m. located at 206 W. Broadway St., Silver City.
A PATCHWORK OF PATTERN PLAY In this 2-day hands-on workshop, we will create a slab constructed form that will become our ‘canvas’ for experimenting with surface decoration techniques with an emphasis on using underglazes. Alamogordo –
Otero Arts is hosting a Landscape Exhibition opening on Friday July 4th with a reception from 5-7 p.m. at the Otero Artspace, 1118 Indiana Avenue. This is the first time Otero Arts has had a specific show for Landscape Artwork that showcases the beauty of the Southwest. New Mexico, known as the Land of Enchantment, draws artists to capture its light and atmosphere. This exhibit will illustrate a variety of artists’ views of New Mexico. Some of the artists exhibiting are Matthew Gallien, Maria Aragon, C. C. Crittenden, and Jean Templeton to name a few. The media ranges from oil, watercolor and pastel painting to photography. The gallery is open Thursdays through Sundays from 1-4 p.m. The exhibition closes on July 26th. Info: oteroarts.org
Las Cruces-
Agave Artists Gallery is pleased to announce their newest artist member, metalsmith Lauren Goldstein! Flow State Silver, her metalsmithing brand, is dedicated to one-of-a-kind, handmade and bespoke pieces that combine complex textures, collage, and traditional and non-traditional materials. Her work is now on display at the gallery, 2250 Calle de San Albino in Old Mesilla. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.
The Mesilla Valley Fine Arts Gallery located at 2470-A Calle de Guadalupe, Mesilla, New Mexico, across from the Fountain Theatre, will feature two artists for the month of July: Arlene Tugel and Woody Hoffman.
